  • Josh Apter – Founder of MEWShop, Josh is a filmmaker, editor, and educator dedicated to providing aspiring media professionals with world-class training. His passion for storytelling and hands-on learning has shaped MEWShop into New York’s premier post-production training facility. With a background in independent filmmaking and editing, Josh brings an extensive wealth of experience to the program.

  • Jason Banke – As President of MEWShop, Jason oversees operations, ensuring that the school remains at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements. His leadership has helped expand MEWShop’s course offerings and partnerships, making it a go-to destination for professional development in post-production.

  • Janet Dalton - MEWShop’s Director of Education, oversees educational programs and curriculum development. She has been an Avid certified instructor for almost two decades, teaching both introductory and advanced editing & effects classes

OUR FACILITIES

MEWShop is conveniently located in Manhattan at 119 W 23rd Street (between Sixth and Seventh Avenue) in Suite 1000; one block from the historic Flatiron Building and steps away from all major subway lines.

Our facility boasts three state of the art training rooms with computer systems running the latest creative and post-production software.  Our comfortable, laid-back environment is perfect for creatives and professionals looking to gain valuable skills.  We also have a small kitchen available to all students equipped with a fridge, toaster oven and microwave with complimentary coffee every morning.
