Manhattan Edit Workshop Provides Premiere Education Through Intensive Workshops And Unparalleled Event Series

Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop), is the only school of it’s kind to offer one comprehensive, six-week course that includes all of the editing applications taught by certified instructors. The Six Week Intensive Course takes students through each program as they work on various real-world projects to illustrate the distinct strengths and nuances of each Non Linear Editing System. MEWShop also runs their annual one-day summit called “Sight, Sound & Story” on June 11, 2016 at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway. This event includes the art and processes of editing documentary film and episodic television, and behind the green screen with VFX artists. Manhattan Edit Workshop Now Offers Resolve 12 Workshops!

New Color Grading courses in Resolve 12 taught by ICA instructors Dado Valentic & Warren Eagles

New York, New York – August 28, 2015 – Manhattan Edit Workshop (MEWShop), the cutting-edge authorized digital training destination for post-production and content creators, has just announced dates for new color grading courses in Resolve 12.  MEWShop’s upcoming advanced International Colorist Academy (ICA) workshops in September; will be taught by Dado Valentic, founder of U.K.’s leading creative studio MYTHERAPY and fellow instructor for the ICA.  Instructor Warren Eagles, professional color grader and co-founder of the (ICA); will once again return in October to teach our popular introductory ICA 101 and ICA 201 workshops.  “Our introductory ICA workshops with Resolve at MEWShop have been a resounding success since their inception in 2012,” comments Eagles.  “I expect our advanced classes will be of similar success and can’t wait to return to New York with our expanded line up!”

Whenever editors begin a film, they enter into completely new territory and must adjust to and understand the director's way of working and thinking.  Editor Jay Rabinowitz, ACE, has traveled among a particularly diverse group of directors and has been able to immerse himself in their worlds - while showing the courage and ingenuity to surprise them,, which is what really sets and editor apart.  All of this was in evidence when we discussed and screened some of Rabinowitz's work in December for my "Inside the Cutting Room" series, produced by ProductionCONN and Manhattan Edit Workshop.
